This piece was one of our more fun jobs. The client provided a square collage of web pages and asked that we wrap them around a globe for a finished image size of six feet. We duplicated the provided collage, extending it by a factor of three, then added some smaller copies to the top, in order to account for the distortion one encounters by mapping a planar surface onto a globe. We then rotated the globe, making a low-resolution movie in order to allow our client to choose the best frame for their project. See the Movie Here. Once the best frame was chosen, we rendered that frame at the resolution needed to support the size of the final image, enhanced the highlight, added the blue halo, and voila! |
